So many years have passed but even today whether Bengali or Hindi , his songs and music as music director takes me to those good old days of my youth and Nostalgia.Truly a person like him can not die ever as he has become immortal through his voice and music

Hemanta Mukherjee is the greatest singer and music director of all times. Whatever sphere of music: Tagore songs, Bengali film, modern songs, Rajanikanta songs....he is unique and simply the best.
What a golden voice.
His songs are my life. Whenever I am alone , I listen to his songs and all tiredness and worries fade away.
He is God.
Sad that he left us when I was only 3 years old, in 1989, so I could never see him or listen to him live.
His songs begin and end my day.

The only song ," Raat Suhani Hai ... ... " was sung by Hemant Kumar in a Pakistani Urdu movie " Hamsafar " in 1960 . Mr Mosleh uddin was the composer of the song & the song was recorded in Kolkatta . This is a nice song & Hemant Kumar sang it excellently . Can anybody post the lyrics of the song, please ?
I request the Indian HMV SA RE GA MA , to collect the song properly .

I have no intellect to comment on our beloved Hemanta Mukherjee. His Jibanpurer Pathik re bhai is philosophy of my life. O akash pradip jelo na is the only romance in my life. He is endless and still living with us

As the earth moves round the sun the voice of Shri Hemanta Mukhopadhyay moves round the culture of Bengal as well as India as well as the whole universe for ever. Whatever he gifted is the gift of the God. His voice is the voice of God.
Such a personality had never come or will never come.

" MAAGO BHABNA KENO ... ... " & ' E DESHER MATIR PARE ... ... ' , - -the two songs were composed & sung by Hemanta Mukharjee in 1971, with his melodious deep voice , whose depth was beyond measure .
These songs also inspired us & I think , it was his great unforgetable contribution towards our liberation war of Bangladesh , in 1971 . I offer my best regards to this great composer & singer .

This is a small tribute to our beloved singer/composer Hemanta Mukherjee......
"Surer Akashe Tumi Je Go Suktara....."
Here I just like to share a small occation that my father experienced with Hemanta Mukherjee......
Once my father attended a closed live function where Hemanta Mukherjee was about to sing.
After singing few Rabindra sangeet, Hemanta Mukherjee himself went so excited, he took his Harmonium on his lap and started singing and the auditorium just blast out with the claps.
And my father said, the song, sang by Hemanta da after that was the best song anyone have ever heard because that was sung from the deep of his heart....and not commercially..
Unluckily no one have recorded that song......and next generation people like us have missed it...
